      This standard specifies a specific method for the determination of trace moisture in a gas using the dew point method. It is suitable for the determination of moisture in gases such as hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, neon, argon, nitrous oxide and their mixtures. It is not suitable for gases that condense before moisture condenses or gases that react with moisture. This method determines the dewpoint temperature of moisture in a gas, that is, the temperature at which dew or frost forms on a metal mirror when the moisture in the gas is saturated. The dewpoint temperature is directly related to the moisture content in the gas, and different dew points correspond to different moisture contents. The standard also describes the structure of the dew point instrument, including a gas circuit system, a chill down system, and a dewpoint temperature measurement system to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
