This standard specifies the operation method for measuring the pH value of atmospheric precipitation samples by electrode method, which is suitable for the determination of pH value of various atmospheric precipitation samples, and the measurement accuracy can reach 0.02 pH units. The standard introduces the measurement principle, that is, the Glass electrode is used as the indicator electrode and the saturated Calomel electrode is used as the reference electrode to read the pH value by measuring the change of the electromotive force of the battery.
