This standard specifies methods for the determination of the content of aluminum trioxide in copper concentrates, including chrome azure S micelle solubilization photometry and settling separation-fluoride salt replacement-Na2EDTA Titrimetric method. Method 1 (chrome azure S micelle solubilization photometry) is suitable for the content range of aluminum trioxide from 0.20% to 1.00%. By forming a green complex with chrome azure S, the content is calculated by spectrophotometer measurement Absorbance at 610nm wavelength. Method 2 (settling separation-fluoride salt replacement-Na2EDTA Titrimetric method) is suitable for the content range > 1.00% to 5.00%. After settling separation and fluoride salt replacement, titration is carried out with Na2EDTA to determine the content. These two methods provide an effective means for accurate determination of aluminum oxide in copper concentrates.
