This standard specifies a method for the determination of vanadium content in iron ore using the ferrous sulfate ammonium Titrimetric method, which is suitable for natural iron ore, iron concentrate, iron nugget, sinter and pellet, and the determination range is 0.100% to 1.00%. This method melts the sample by sodium peroxide or mixed flux. After acidification with sulfuric acid, vanadium (IV) to vanadium (III) is first reduced with ferrous iron, and then vanadium (IV) is oxidized to vanadium (V) by potassiumhy permanganate. Excess potassiumhy permanganate is titrated by ferrous sulfate ammonium standard titration solution, and N-phenylanthranilic acid is used as an indicator to calculate the mass fraction of vanadium. This part also refers to a number of relevant standards to ensure the accuracy of the analysis.
