This standard specifies a method for the determination of titanium content in iron ore using the ammonium ferric sulfate Titrimetric method. It is suitable for the determination of titanium content in natural iron ore, iron concentrate and sintered products, with a measurement range of 1.00% to 9.00%. After the sample is melted with sodiumhydrate and sodium peroxide, it is leached and filtrated with water to remove interfering elements. Next, in a suitably acidic environment, tetravalent titanium is reduced to trivalent titanium through aluminum foil, and using thiocyanate as an indicator, the titanium content is finally determined by titration with ammonium ferric sulfate standard solution. This method provides a standardized operation process and technical requirements for the accurate determination of titanium content.
