This standard specifies a method for the determination of calcium content in sodiumhydrate, applicable to products with a calcium mass fraction greater than or equal to 0.0005%. The method uses disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA) as a complexing agent and is titrated with the help of glyoxal acetal bis (2 hydroxyaniline, GBHA) as an indicator. During the test, when the pH value is 12, EDTA forms a stable complex with calcium ions, causing the indicator to change from red to yellow, indicating the titration endpoint. This method ensures accurate determination of calcium content.
