This document provides color difference and Appearance mass detection methods for aluminum and aluminum alloy anodic oxide coatings and organic polymer films, including test conditions, instrumentation, sample preparation, test procedures, and results reporting. The standard applies to the determination of color difference and Appearance mass for aluminum and aluminum alloy anodic oxide coatings, anodic oxidation composite films, and organic polymer films. The detection methods include visual observation and instrument measurement to evaluate the color difference and surface condition of the film by comparing it with a reference sample. Instrument measurement is mainly used for color difference evaluation, but not for textured films.
