The GB/T 24890-2010 standard specifies a method for the determination of chloride ion content in compound fertilizers (compound fertilizers). This method is suitable for the detection of chloride ions in various compound fertilizers. The test principle is to react the sample with excess silver nitrate (AgNO3) in a slightly acidic solution to form silver chloride settling, then parcel settling with dibutyl phthalic acid, using ammonium ferric sulfate as an indicator, and finally titrating the remaining silver nitrate (AgNO3) with ammonium thiocyanate standard solution. The standard ensures accurate determination of chloride ions, supporting fertilizer quality control and composition analysis.
