The GB/T 24875-2010 standard specifies a method for the determination of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr) and mercury (Hg) in livestock and poultry manure using Inductance Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). The method is suitable for the detection of the above heavy metals elements in livestock and poultry manure samples, with a quantification limit of 0.1 mg/kg. The analysis process involves the introduction of Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) after microwave digestion of the sample, and the element concentration is determined by measurement of the strength of the mass spectrometry signal. The standard uses the standard Linear dispersion method to calculate the content and specifies the requirements of the reagents and materials used to ensure the accuracy of the determination results.
