The GB/T 6730.69-2010 standard specifies the method for the determination of fluorine and chlorine content in iron ore using Ion chromatography. It is suitable for the analysis of fluorine and chlorine content in natural iron ore, iron concentrate, pellet and sinter. The determination range of fluorine is 0.005%~ 4.00% and chlorine is 0.005%~ 0.50%. In the method, the sample is analyzed by sulfuric acid. After separation of fluorine and chlorine with water vapor, it is absorbed by the absorption liquid. Finally, qualitative and quantitative analysis is carried out by Ion Chromatography. Qualitative is based on Retention time, and the standard Linear dispersion method is used quantitatively. This standard ensures the accurate analysis of fluorine and chlorine content in iron ore.
