The GB/T 24194-2009 standard specifies a method for the determination of aluminum, calcium, manganese, chromium, titanium, copper, phosphorus and nickel in ferrosilicon using Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) method (ICP-AES). The standard applies to the content determination of these elements and provides the determination range and procedure. The sample is first analyzed using nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and muriatic acid, and perchloric acid is used to remove silicon and fluorine.
