This standard specifies a method for the determination of copper and manganese content in gold alloys by Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) method (ICP-AES), which is suitable for AuAgCuGd, AuAgCuMnGd, AuNiCu and other alloys. The determination range is 0.5% to 6%. The method dissolves the sample by acid and uses the Internal afstandard method for quantitative analysis. It provides an accurate analytical means for the determination of copper and manganese content in gold alloys and is suitable for quality control of precious metal materials.
