GB 16365-1996 formulates radiological health protection standards for ion smoke fire detectors. The standard specifies the specifications for the use of radioactive sources in the detector, including the selection of radioactive sources, installation positions and protective measures to prevent radiation hazards caused by radioactive source leakage. It stipulates the radiation dose limit of the detector workplace, and requires regular monitoring of the environment radiation level. At the same time, it stipulates the protection training and health management of employees. The standard aims to ensure that ion smoke fire detectors play the role of fire warning, ensure that people and the environment are protected from unnecessary radiation hazards, and maintain public safety and health.
