This standard GB/T 11219.2-1989 specifies the method for the determination of plutonium in soil, namely ion exchange method. This method is suitable for soil samples with plutonium activity above 1.5 × 10 ^ (-8) Bq/g in the environment. The standard first heats the soil sample by nitric acid, then uses strong alkaline anion exchange Resin to separate pure plutonium, and interferes with ions by different concentrations of muriatic acid and nitric acid elute. Finally, the plutonium is desorbed by muriatic acid-fluorofluoric acid solution, and the plutonium is electrodeposited in nitric acid-ammonium nitrate solution, and then the measurement is carried out using a low background alpha counter or a low background alpha spectrometer. The standard also specifies the reagents required in the analytical process and their purity requirements to ensure the accuracy and Reliability of the assay.
