This standard specifies methods for measuring the white point temperature and minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) of polymer water dispersion. A temperature layer is formed on a metal plate by heat and cold sources, and drying air flows through the plate until the transparent film portion formed by polymer dispersion intersects the uncondensed white portion. The white point temperature and minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) are determined by measurement of the temperature at the junction of these two. These parameters are essential for evaluating the performance and application effectiveness of polymer dispersion.
