GB/T 21461.1-2008 is aimed at ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE) (PE-UHMW) molding and extrusion materials in plastics. It establishes a naming system to give uniform specification names to different types of PE-UHMW materials according to material characteristics, processing methods and other factors. At the same time, it clarifies the classification basis and divides material categories from performance indicators, uses and other dimensions. The standard provides guidelines for the identification and distinction of PE-UHMW materials in production, trade and use, so that all parties can accurately identify and select suitable materials and promote the orderly development of the industry.
