This standard specifies the method and evaluation of results for bubble leak detection. It is suitable for bubble leak detection of closed equipment or components in production and in use. Bubble leak detection utilizes the pressure difference generated on both sides of the detection object to detect leaks by observing bubbles generated in the liquid on the low pressure side. This method includes direct pressurization technology and vacuum hood technology, which are easy, fast, environmentally friendly and low cost to operate. Direct pressurization technology detects leaks by applying gas pressure and blistering solution, while vacuum hood technology is used when equipment cannot be directly pressurized. Leaks are detected by applying blistering solution locally and creating a pressure difference.
