This standard specifies methods for the determination of apparent density (pb), true density and porosity of iron ore, which are suitable for the determination of physical properties of pelletized iron ore. The density and porosity are calculated according to Archimedes' law by calculating the mass of the sample in air and water. The standard provides an important basis for the mass assessment and physical property analysis of iron ore and is widely used in ore processing and metallurgical industries.
