This standard specifies the performance test method of Flame photometric detector, FPD (FPD) for gas chromatograph. The FPD consists of a hydrogen-air flame combustion device, a selective Optical inspection filter and a Photomultiplier for detecting the intensity of light radiation at specific wavelengths. The standard provides methods for testing and evaluating the performance of the FPD to ensure its accuracy and Stability in practical applications. The relevant tests shall comply with the requirements of ASTM E260 and ASTM E355 standards.
