The GB/T 14522-2008 standard specifies artificial climate aging test methods for plastics, coatings and rubber materials used in mechanical industrial products, with a focus on exposure testing using fluorescent UV Lamps. The standard replaces GB/T 14522-1993. The main changes include the deletion of the content of the xenon arc exposure test, the addition of requirements for the relative spectral power distribution of fluorescent UV Lamps and the specification of equipment functions, and the addition of new test procedures and accuracy requirements. During the test, the sample was exposed to ultraviolet radiation in simulated sunlight, combined with light and humid environment, to evaluate the weathering resistance of the material. The standard also specifies the use of different types of fluorescent UV Lamps and describes detailed requirements for equipment maintenance and sample preparation.
