This section specifies a method for the measurement of Loose Bulk Density of metal powders using the vibrating funnel method. Suitable for those metal powders that cannot flow freely through the 5.0 mm pore size funnel. This method measures the mass of the powder within the volume of the powder by the powder flowing out of the funnel under vibration and filling the glassgraduate with a known volume to evaluate its Loose Bulk Density. Not suitable for powders that are easily crushed during vibration, suitable for quality control and process optimization.
