This standard specifies a method for the determination of trace water content in industrial butadiene using Carl Fischer Coulometry. It is suitable for the determination of water content in industrial butadiene and Miscellaneous carbotetraene in the range of (5~ 500) mg/kg. The method includes the gasification of the sample, the reaction of water in the Electrochemical cell of Carl Fischer Analyzer and the steps to calculate the water content based on electrolysis consumption. The standard does not deal with safety issues and the user should ensure safety measures and rules and regulations.
