This standard specifies the determination method of carbon and sulfur content in molybdenum. The sample is heated and burned in the oxygen gas stream of the high-frequency induction furnace to generate carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide. The carbon and sulfur content are measured by the infrared detection system. Reagents and materials include pure iron flux, tungsten tin flux, carbon, sulfur standard material, etc. Instruments and equipment include infrared detection system, oxygen cylinder and pressure regulator, day and so on. The sample is a molybdenum sintered product. The sample is machined into chip shape.
