GB/T 23986.2-2023 "Determination of Paints and varnishes vocs (VOC) and/or semi-vocs (SVOC) content, Part 2: Gas chromatography, CG" is a Chinese national standard for the determination of vocs (VOC) and/or semi-vocs (SVOC) content in Coatings and their raw materials. This standard provides an international common and reliable test method through Gas chromatography, CG to control the development of the Coating industry towards low pollution. Applicable to Coating products with expected VOC and/or SVOC content between 0.01% and 100%. The standard states that when the VOC content exceeds 15%, the method specified in ISO 11890-1 should be used for determination, and when both VOC and SVOC are present in Coatings, this standard should be used for determination first. In addition, this standard also mentions the impact of possible analysis products on the test results, and specifies the choice of test methods and environmental conditions applicable to different situations.
