Instrument introduction
PN-COF friction coefficient measuring instrument is an instrument for measuring friction coefficient researched and developed by our company in accordance with relevant standards. It is designed to measure the dynamic and static friction coefficients of plastic films and sheets.
The friction coefficient refers to the ratio of the friction force between two surfaces to the vertical force acting on one surface. The friction performance of the material can be characterized by the dynamic and static friction coefficients of the material. If the friction coefficient of the packaging is low, problems such as slipping and misaligned sealing may easily occur when unwinding and making bags; if the friction coefficient is too large, unwinding may be difficult and the soft plastic packaging may even be stretched and deformed. The opening of the packaging bag is prone to be poor, which affects the filling efficiency of the contents. Therefore, controlling the appropriate friction coefficient is conducive to the smooth progress of the packaging process.
Principle: Two test surfaces are placed flat together, and under a certain contact pressure, the two surfaces are moved relative to each other, the required force is recorded, and the static friction coefficient and kinetic friction coefficient are calculated.
