This standard specifies the use of potassium periodate Spectrophotometric method, spec-trophotometry to determine the concentration of manganese in water, suitable for the determination of filterable manganese and total manganese in drinking water, surface water, groundwater and industrial wastewater. Method Manganese oxidation generates a purplish-red heptavalent manganese complex and performs spectrophotometric determination at 525 nm wavelength. The measurement range is 0.02 to 3 mg/L, with appropriate adjustment of the sample volume or the use of Colorimetric dishes with different optical paths. This standard can be used for environment monitoring and water quality analysis.
